Installation

Installation takes place after an onsite visit to discuss your requirements and advise you on the quantities of water required and the positioning of containers. It includes:

  • Supply and deliver onsite of containers/ barrels appropriate to the workplace.
  • Filling of containers onsite.
  • Treatment of the water to ensure its ongoing quality.
  • Position containers as agreed to by client.
  • Seal containers with tamper proof screw caps/bungs to ensure the integrity of your emergency water.

Maintenance

Maintenance would be carried out on a 6 month basis (as per WCC Emergency Planning recommendations) and includes:

  • Check integrity of screw tops/bungs for evidence of interference.
  • Sample 1 tank at random from each site/floor and send to laboratory for analysis.
  • Empty containers onsite.
  • Check integrity of containers. Check integrity of bungs.
  • Refill onsite.
  • Treatment of the water to ensure its ongoing quality.
  • Re-seal containers.
6 monthly maintenance report is included as part of maintenance program. Report includes confirmation that container seals are intact, report on integrity/condition of containers, results of laboratory analysis and any other points of interest noted during maintenance visit.

Added Services:

As part of our regular maintenance visits, we can also review the status of the perishable contents of your Emergency Response Cabinet. We can check to see that items such as batteries and foodstuffs are not past their expiry dates. EWS also offers to replace these items as part of our ongoing maintenance service.
